For 99 years, hundreds of NY kids, many of whom rarely get to leave home, have headed off to Star Lake Camp, a beautiful sleepaway camp with all the activities and friendships that transform children’s lives.
That door briefly closed when COVID hit, but now, campers are fully returning for the first time in two years to make new friends, reconnect with old friends, learn new skills, and be nurtured by caring camp counselors and role models.
Besides jumping in the lake, campers can take advantage of numerous programs and activities that Star Lake has to offer.
Located on a serene lake in Bloomingdale, NJ, Star Lake Camp has hosted thousands of campers since its opening in 1923.
Made possible by The Salvation Army Greater New York Division, NY kids experience life in the rural outdoors and come home with a new perspective on their lives and what is possible.
