Here’s a quick recap about things I know are happening this week from Harlem to Houston!
It may look sunny now, but it’s going to be brutal tomorrow when Tropical Storm Isaias arrives. Bring everything indoors from your yard, balcony or terrace. Follow the NYC Office of Emergency Management on Twitter at @nycemergencymgt and/or the National Weather Service.
Starting today (8/3) until 9/4, the whole family can join Harlem Commonwealth Council’s free virtual Summer Scholars Program to sharpen reading and writing skills.
Tomorrow (8/4) at 8 am (weather permitting), join me to kick off the weekly 2020 Harlem Healthy Clean Campaign along ACP and Malcolm X Blvds., sponsored by the 125th St. Business Improvement District and the National Black Leadership Commission on Health. RSVP to bid125thst@aol.com
Check out Moving for Life’s daily virtual classes for people challenged by cancer and aging.
That’s it for today!
