Harlem resident Arva Rice, president and CEO of the New York Urban League will headline MPAC’s Community Rally in Queens on Friday, November 15, 2013.
“This is the beginning of what we hope will be a fruitful partnership with both the local and National Urban League and MPAC,” said Dr. Patrick Young, general secretary, MPAC.
MPAC, Mobilizing Preachers & Communities, is a 250-member-based coalition of New York City churches that have come together to impact on issues ranging from economic development to stop and frisk.
Friday’s rally will be held at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 100-10 Astoria Blvd., in East Elmhurst.
