Billboard magazine got it right, only Rihanna and Harlem‘s A$AP Rocky could skip the Golden Globes red carpet and still be a hit.
Arrive partway through the ceremony and still be the most talked-about couple at the event.
Rihanna fans have expressed their happiness over her late appearance at the 2023 Golden Globes after she and boyfriend A$AP Rocky skipped the red carpet.
Rihanna wore an outfit from couturier Schiaparelli, hailing from the brand’s Spring-Summer 2022 haute couture collection.
The ruched long sheath dress in black fluid jersey was paired with a dramatic opera coat, and her intricate updo hair only added to the surrealistic aesthetic of the ensemble.
For accessories, ‘RiRi’ donned Cartier jewelry and eye-watering vertiginous Giuseppe Zanotti heels.
The dress was Look 27 from the runway show, “Our last Couture collection was conceived in a brief period of hope: It was April. Vaccines were becoming widely available. Travel was becoming a possibility once again. We could begin to imagine that our collective nightmare was behind us, or at least would soon be,” explained the Maison’s creative director Daniel Roseberry of the collection, “Throughout the 23 fittings for this collection, I realized that what felt exciting at this moment was something different, something restrained. Suddenly, color felt wrong to me. So, did volume. All of the tricks that couture designers (including me) use to communicate grandeur and craftsmanship—big silhouettes, glorious poufs of fabric, huge volume—felt hollow.”
Enquires Magazine wrote that A$AP—never one to be the boyfriend who can’t keep up with his fashion GF’s looks—went black tie formal, fitting for the event. He looked undeniably classy and sophisticated in a Bottega Veneta tuxedo with satin lapels. Ever the dresser, he wore a skinny black tie with a pristine white shirt underneath, and diamond earrings just as dazzling as Rihanna’s.
Entertainment Tonight wrote that inside the venue, an eyewitness tells ET that the two were whispering in each other’s ears at their table and that Rihanna called him “babe.” They also made time to mingle with fellow celebrities at the awards show, including Angela Bassett and T.I.
Pop Sugar writes that outside of work, Rihanna welcomed her first child, an adorable baby boy, with Rocky in May 2022. While the couple have yet to reveal the little one’s name, Rihanna gave the world a first glimpse at her son in a sweet TikTok video shared on Dec. 17. “hacked,” she jokingly captioned it. She also raved about what an “amazing” and “happy” baby he is in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “Oh my god, the mornings, like, seeing his morning face! Seeing a baby with, like, little bags and waking up and they’re just, like, startled. They’re trying to figure out where they’re at. It’s the cutest, it’s my favorite part of the day,” Rihanna told the outlet.
