This year marks the 239th anniversary of the Battle of Fort Washington, a key free event during the Revolutionary War. Be transported back in time and celebrate your local history.
The Brigade of the American Revolution will perform and lead participatory drills. We’ll have a blacksmith demonstration, performances of 18th century music by members of the Kings Highlanders and revolutionary war era games from Dyckman Farmhouse. Tour the battle scene with heroine Margaret Corbin played by actress Erin McGirk and be inspired by the expertise of historian Fred Cookinham.
Prizes will be offered for the most authentic costumes!
