A great photograph looking north on a afternoon from the middle of the street on Broadway at 109th Street in West Harlem, New York, 1910-1924.
A busy street at the turn of the century, horse drawn carriages, people talking and walking, kids standing and playing on the northeast corner of 109th Street and Broadway near Lovera Cigars. As we’ve said in other posts manure covering the streets is persist – would have been tough to be a street sweeper. (Source).
