Safe And Clean Beauty Fair Coming To City College In Harlem

March 5, 2024

Join WE ACT in addressing the concerning truth about personal care products – from cosmetics to shampoos, many contain harmful ingredients linked to serious health issues like cancer and asthma.

Particularly alarming is how these products disproportionately affect people of color due to racist beauty standards and targeted marketing.

WE ACT is rallying support for New York State’s Beauty Justice bill (S.4265/A.6969), aimed at banning the most harmful chemicals from these products.

Discover why communities of color are at higher risk and learn how you can advocate for safer regulations.

Join WE ACT for a free community event featuring local small businesses offering non-toxic alternatives.

Win clean beauty products, enjoy free makeovers, and connect with state representatives championing this bill.

Hosted by WE ACT for Environmental Justice, a Harlem-based nonprofit with over 35 years of advocacy experience.

The event takes place on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024 Time: 5:00-8:00 PM Location: City College of New York’s NAC Ballroom, 160 Convent Avenue, West Harlem.
