Real estate investor Nader Ohebshalom’s Gatsby Enterprises has acquired a Harlem office and retail building at 75 West 125th Street from owner and sole tenant Carver Federal Savings Bank for nearly $19.5 million, Commercial Observer has learned and Harlem World Magazine reported last week.
NY Crains reports that the largest African-American-run bank in the country has signed a lease to relocate its Harlem headquarters office after recently selling the West 125th Street building where it has long based its operations.
Yesterday, we reported that Carver Bank on 125th Street was selling its headquarters. Today, Carver Bancorp, Inc., the holding company for Carver Federal Savings Bank, announced today that the Bank has entered into a sale and leaseback property arrangement.
