Help Us Deliver The Independent Editorial Harlem Needs
SHOP, THE NEW HARLEM WORLD SHOP!
We have a small favor to ask. More people are reading Harlem World Magazine’s independent, life and style editorial than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. And unlike many news organizations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our reporting as open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.
Support Independent Publishing. Support Harlem World Magazine.
As an independent magazine, we rely on readers, advertisers (the more support we receive the fewer advertisers we will have), and sponsors to help keep our stories free and our events open to the public. Join thousands who already support Harlem World with their support.
Other Benefits By Giving
- Our content continues to be free
- We have not put up a paywall for readers
- Our events like Harlem World Talks remain free
- Working with Non-Profits, Social Enterprises, and Social Entrepreneurs who receive a discount that translates into 50/50 in-kind sponsorships for events, services and/or products
One of our biggest reason for giving is (HYPE):
Established in 2010, Harlem Youth Publishing Empowerment (HYPE)., recruits and trains the next generation of publishers in Harlem. HYPE is a community-social enterprise youth publishing organization designed to support and develop young minority publishers age 13-17 and prepare them for the professional field of publishing and/or higher education.
HYPE is a non-profit organization of Harlem World Magazine. HYPE developed out of the recognition of the enjoyment some minority youth had in the publishing field, and the lack of minority publishers, both in the publishing industry and at the academic level. HYPE takes advantage of the appeal of the publishing world to young minority populations in order to empower and promote both professional and academic opportunities and success.
