SoHarlem CEO Founder Janet Rodriguez Receives Makers Award At The Andrew Freedman Home

Harlem’s Janet Rodriguez founder of SoHarlem and others received the 2019 Black Arts History Makers Award presented by the legendary arts veteran, William Aquado at the 2019 National Conference of Artists (NCA) New York Art and Entrepreneurs: Bridging the Gap Conference.

The event celebrated NCA’s 60th anniversary, other honorees included Robert Peyton Jr., owner of Watkins Health Food Store, Walter E. Puryear III, Senior Director of The Andrew Freedman Home at Mid Bronx Senior Citizens Council, and Dr. Barry D. Harris – Jazz Pianist, Composer, and Educator.
