NY Curbed reports that a new fully-affordable East Harlem building has launched the affordable housing lottery on its rentals. The 12-story building, which is located at 401-411 East 120th Street, has a total of 124 apartments up for grabs that range in size from studios through three-bedroom homes.
Rents on these affordable apartments start from $822/month and go up to $1,706/month. The apartments are open to those make 60 percent of the area median income and 100 percent of AMI, which translates to annual incomes ranging from $30,069 to $95,400, depending on the family type and apartment size.
Amenities in the building, which is titled Acacia Gardens, include a children’s play area, a laundry room, a recreational outdoor deck, and a fitness center. The project was developed through the city’s Extremely Low and Low-Income Affordability (ELLA) program, according to StreetEasy, and the building itself was designed by Magnusson Architecture and Planning.
