Permits Filed For Six-Story Residential Building In East Harlem

May 30, 2018

NY Yimby reports that permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 309 East 119th Street in East Harlem, Manhattan. The site is six blocks away from the 116th Street subway station, serviced by the 4 and 6 trains. Ten blocks away is the Harlem-125th Street train station, serviced by Metro-North. Kevin Simek of Simek Development is listed as responsible for the project.

The 65-foot-tall structure will yield 8,480 square feet, all of which will be dedicated to residential use. Six apartments will be created, averaging 1,420 square feet apiece, indicating large condominiums. Each unit will occupy a whole floor plate, save for a duplex on the ground floor into cellar space. Outdoor space will be included in the cellar and on the rooftop.

Fradkin & McAlpin Architects is listed as responsible for the design.

The lot is currently vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced, though it is likely to wrap in two to three years.
