Harlem Arts Alliance and The Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce present the Harlem Tourism Conference on Monday June 2, 5:30pm, at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, 515 Malcolm X Blvd. at West 135th Street. The conference will feature keynote speakers Kenneth Knuckles from the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone and Fred Dixon from NYC & Company, panel discussions on Key Harlem Tourism Events, Activities and Developments with senior representatives from Harlem Community Development Corporation, NYC & Company, HARLEM WEEK, and Experience Harlem; and The Booming Restaurant and Night Club Industry in Harlem with senior representatives from Sylvia’s, Londel’s, Jado Sushi, Melba’s and Yatenga. Special awards will be presented to Sylvia’s Restaurant and the National Park Service and entertainment provided by “Motown the Musical”. The Harlem Tourism Conference is free and open to the public but space is limited.
