Verizon Texting Outages Hit Parts Of The USA From Harlem To Huntsville, Alabama

Verizon customers from Harlem To Huntsville, AL had trouble sending and receiving text messages Tuesday morning due to a service outage, the telecommunications company announced.

Outages were reported all along the East Coast beginning around 8:30 a.m., Verizon customer service reps said on Twitter.

“We have confirmed there is a texting outage on the east coast. Our technicians a fully aware we have a ton of customers that are being affected, and we’re working non-stop to get this matter resolved as soon as possible,”

The website Down Detector, which tracks outages in real time, reported issues in nearly every major city on the East Coast. The outages also spread to Midwest cities such as Chicago and Detroit.
