Brain Awareness Week is a global campaign created to promote public awareness of brain research. The Friedman Brain Institute along with CEYE (Center for Excellence in Youth Education) and MiNDS (Mentoring in Neuroscience Discovery at Sinai) will host its 9th Annual Brain Awareness Fair for elementary, middle, and high school students and their parents during the week of March 15th – 18th, 2021.
Attendees will learn for free about the organization of our brain, the cells that make up our brain, our sensory systems, watch a live sheep brain dissection, and much more.
Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai faculty will be on hand to answer questions and dispel myths about autism, Alzheimer’s disease, drug abuse and addiction, and memory and cognition.
