The Best Harlem Style Look At Cannes Film Festival 2015

May 16, 2015

Oscar award winning actress Lupita Nyong’o was this years hands down winner of the best Harlem style look at the film premiere of “La Tete Haute (Standing Tall),” at the 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival 2015.

She could have been at the Apollo Theater Gala on 125th Street and still wowed.

As usual she looked flawless. With makeup artist Nick Barose chose a purply-pink lipstick with cool, slightly blue undertones, which make bright colors look more sophisticated, less “Barbie,” he says.

While the jade hue and floral embroidered crystal detail on her shoulders were gorgeous, it was the tossing and twirling of the dress from every angle as she walked down the red carpet that made it a look to remember. She wore a fabulous custom-made pleated plugging Gucci green dress that had beautiful embellished hand-painted floral crystals along the neckline and waist.

Of course, a little bit of sparkle is always necessary at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, which is why Lupita wore Chopard diamond earrings, and a stunning gold head piece, around her au natural el a la Cicely Tyson bun.
