Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation 2015 Gold Rush Awards

11057749_10153523417899614_2185997453179570443_nRush Philanthropic Arts Foundation is proud to announce the 2015 Gold Rush Awards. Taking place on Saturday, October 24th at the venue Littlefield in the Gowanus neighborhood of Brooklyn, this is the fourth annual night dedicated to celebrating cutting-edge art, music, fashion and culture. Gold Rush combines the visual arts and nightlife into a single event, grounded in the culture of hip-hop. It features an awards presentation, music by renowned DJs, an art exhibition and an open bar in a party atmosphere attended by over 300 tastemakers.

The 2015 honorees include:

  • Renee Cox, iconic artist
  • Dee and Ricky, dynamic art and fashion designing duo
  • Victor Davson, founder of New Jersey’s Aljira Art Center
  • Laurie Cumbo, NYC City Council Member and founder of the Museum of Contemporary African Diaspora Arts
  • Cey Adams, original Def Jam graphic designer and 2015 Gold Rush Featured Artist.

The evening’s master of ceremonies is Mr. Gandy, and music throughout the night will be provided by DJ Moma, Everyday People, and AzMarie Livingston, star on Fox’s hit show Empire.Each honoree will receive a unique award designed and handmade by Cey Adams. The Gold Rush Host Committee includes journalist and artist Peter “Souleo” Wright, Director of Flux Harlem Leanne Stella, Genese Jamilah, founder of, Tianna Webb Evans, Founder and Managing Director of ESP PR, Daria Brit Greene of Scope ArtFair, Mikhalie Solomon of Prizm Art Fair, and more.

The event will showcase an exhibition of recent works by honoree Renee Cox and an art sale of artwork for $500 featuring works by: Ai Campbell, Kimberly M Beacoat, Luiza Cardenuto, Vid Taylor, RC Hagens, Musa Hixson, Jennifer Mack Watkins, John Felix Arnold III, Achley McKenzie, Stan Squirewell, Danny Simmons, Allison Janae Hamilton, Kate Fauvel, Johnny Mattei, Ruthy Valdez, Sylvia Maier, Cey Adams, Stephanie Calvert, Cullen Washington Jr., and more!
