Harlem’s DJ E-Z Rock Passes

Rodney Bryce, who made his mark on hip-hop under the name DJ E-Z Rock, died Sunday, a spokesperson for Bryce’s friend and collaborator Rob Base confirmed to Rolling Stone. The cause of death has yet to be revealed.

Carol’s Daughter Files Chapter 11

The Wall Street Journal reports that companies affiliated with Harlem mainstay Carol’s Daughter filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Thursday in connection with the beauty brand’s move to close most of its stores.
