Off-duty Cop Mugged While Walking Dog In Harlem

crime-tape-in-harlemThe NYPost reports that one of New York’s Finest. an off-duty cop was mugged while walking his dog in Harlem Sunday night, police sources said.

Officer Sean Armstead, 31, was approached by four unknown men at 609 West 149 St. around 9:30 p.m. One of the muggers placed him in a headlock while the others punched him in the face.

One of them removed his wallet, which contained his NYPD identification card. The attackers took off on foot.

Armstead was taken to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. He was expected to survive.
