NFL Teams Likely To Make The Playoffs

August 2, 2021

5 Teams could be making the playoffs and winning the NFL Superbowl in the 2021-2022 season

The Superbowl is the highlight of the American Sporting calendar. While it is one of the most exciting games of the year. However, many of the playoff games leading up to it could also win the title for best game of the season.

The Postseason playoffs pit 7 teams from the two football leagues against each other in a knock-out tournament. The Superbowl is then played by the winners of each side of the draw. Over 2 months, 14 teams are whittled down to 1 and they have crowned the champions for that year.

If you are wondering which NFL teams might make it into the playoffs in 2022 then you have come to the right place. Below, you will find our top 5 picks for teams that will qualify for the 2022 playoffs.

The time to place a bet on a team making the playoffs is before the season starts and you can use a site like http://www.fanduel.com to do this.

Kansas City Chiefs

2020’s Missouri-based Superbowl winners should be anyone’s top pick for playoff qualification next season.

Not only did the Kansas City Chiefs win the Superbowl 2 years ago but they also played in last year’s title match. They also won themselves the coveted number 1 seed at the start of last year’s playoffs.

The Chiefs are one of the few teams that can boast about having world-class players in all 3 facets of the game.

And with a player as good as their star Quarterback Patrick Mahomes on their team, you’d be a fool to bet against these guys making the 2022 playoffs. When you have the talent of a man like Mahomes on your side any game is winnable.

Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill have also put in some incredible shifts over the last 2 seasons.

And if you need another frivolous reason to put money on these guys, their mascot K. C. Wolf is one of the best mascots the NFL has to offer.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Last year’s Superbowl champions should also be high up on your list of playoff qualifiers.

If just for the reason that last season they broke the ‘home advantage’ Superbowl curse. Before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won last year, no team had even played in a home Superbowl, let alone win it. Being able to beat that kind of stigma shows that these players are some of the best out there right now.

It’s also worth noting that the Buccaneers are 1 of only 2 teams that have won every Superbowl they’ve played (of teams that have made multiple appearances).

Let’s talk about the multiple Superbowl-winning elephant in the room – Tom Brady. Brady won his 7th Superbowl champion’s ring with the Bucs last year and he’s been very open about wanting to add a few more to his collection. It’s hard to believe that Brady was drafted 198th in his year.

With possibly the most successful NFL player of all time in their squad, we wouldn’t rule out the Bucs.

Green Bay Packers

The Packers haven’t won the Superbowl since 2010 but they have made the playoffs 21 times since 1993. And they have won the Superbowl itself 4 times in their history.

Many people would have happily put good money on the Packers reaching the playoffs for Superbowl 56.  Until the possibility of the Packers losing their biggest player became a reality.

Some reports are saying that Aaron Rodgers will be leaving the Packers, while other reports claim that he is rewriting his contract with the club. If Rodgers does walk away from the Packers then expect to see the team’s winning odds slashed.

Many major sports commentators are suggesting that without Rodgers, the Packers might not even qualify for the playoffs.

That being said, the Packers still have Matt LaFleur as their head coach. There are many who believe that LeFleur could get a winning performance out of this team – with or without Rodgers.

Would you consider putting money on the Green Bay Packers if they lose Aaron Rodgers?

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens are the only other side to have gone undefeated in multiple Superbowl appearances. Their last win was in the 2012 season – but they have qualified for 4 playoffs since then. Including the last playoffs in a row (2018-2020).

This season will mark the Raven’s 14th year under head coach John Harbaugh. They are a close-knit team with a well-established training system that works well for them.

Despite reaching the playoffs last season, the Ravens performed worse than most expected. This was mostly due to the team being inundated with positive COVID-19 tests. So, we would disregard their performance last year as an anomaly.

With players like Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews in the team, the Ravens still stand a good chance of qualifying for the playoffs as they did last year. Let’s just hope their run lasts a little longer this season.

Seattle Seahawks

Finally, let’s talk about the Seahawks.

The Seahawks may have only won the Superbowl once (2013 season), but they have qualified for the playoffs 14 times since 1999. They have qualified for the last three seasons in a row and last year they even won their division championship.

So, what can we expect from the Seahawks in the 2021-2022 season?

Well, in our humble opinion, a lot.

Any team will struggle to play against the Seahawks with the 12th Man at their side. Did you know that the Seahawks fans have twice broken Guinness world records for stadium noise?

Both Gino Smith and Penny Heart had a fantastic 2020-2021 season. Chris Carson and Quandre Diggs also impressed many. Of course, we can’t talk about fantastic Seahawks players without mentioning Russel Willson.

Last season Willson carried for nearly 5000 yards. Many are predicting Willson will have an even better season this year. With last year’s Walton Payton Man of the Year on the team – no one should be sleeping on the Seattle Seahawks.
