Join the cast of the critically acclaimed film, “The Birth of a Nation,” when they visit BUILD to discuss the period drama based on the story of Nat Turner.First time director, Nate Parker, also stars as Turner, a literate slave who strikes a deal with his owner, Samuel Turner (Armie Hammer), to become a traveling preacher who subdues slaves. Turner is also responsible for leading the bloodiest slave uprising in American history in the hopes of leading his people to freedom. Armie Hammer, Colman Domingo, Aunjanue Ellis, Aja Naomi King and Penelope Ann Miller will join Parker to talk about the inspiring film.
