HWM Self-Interview Questions

Our self-interview uses the classic “5 Ws” and “How” which is a mnemonic device used to remember the questions that journalists and investigators use to gather information about a particular event or situation.

We’re using the approach here for our Harlem readers to help us tell Harlem stories:

Report regarding your story below (answer the questions that best fit your story):

    1. Who are you? Who are the people that are most important to you? Who are your role models? (required)

    2. What are your passions and interests? What are your strengths and weaknesses? What are your current goals and aspirations? What is your favorite place in Harlem? What are your goals for the future? (required)

    3. Where do you feel most comfortable and at home? Where do you find inspiration and creativity? Where do you want to go in life? Where do you get your inspiration from? (required)

    4. When do you feel most energized and productive? When do you feel the most relaxed and at ease? When do you struggle and face challenges? (required)

    5. Why do you have the passions and interests that you do? Why are your goals and aspirations important to you? Why do you face certain challenges or struggles? (required)

    6. Bonus: How do you leverage your strengths to achieve your goals? How do you address your weaknesses and improve yourself? How do you prioritize self-care and maintain a healthy work-life balance? (required)
