Harlem’s Fashion Row x LVMH Lunch N’ Learn Community Event And More In The Greatest Community, Harlem

On Wednesday, August 24th, 2022, Harlem’s Fashion Row (HFR) newly instituted its take on Lunch N’ Learns, at Melba’s Restaurant, In Harlem, NY.

The fabulous guest included Living legend and Harlem’s Fashion Row’s “GodFather”, Dapper Dan, Melba, owner of Melba’s Restaurant, a Harlem staple and community landmark, Fashion Mogul Misa Hylton, the designers showing in HFR’s Fall 2022 NYFW Show; Clarence Ruth, Johnathan Hayden, and Nicole Benefield, and actor Tony Danza’s The Stars of Tomorrow program, and many more. 

Scholars were invited to engage during the first-of-its-kind panel discussion for 50 high school students at the event.

The event included indulging in a delectable three-course meal while gaining invaluable insight into breaking through adversity in fashion from upper echelon leadership of color.

In partnership with LVMH, one of many installments with BIPOC designers, executives, and journalists who rally together to encourage the next generation of creative catalysts, through formal candid conversation.

HFR moves to improve the environment, close the opportunity gap, and holistically support emerging talent of color. 

HFR is thrilled to usher in a new era of diversification in the luxury fashion space, actualizing and executing strategic partnerships.

Harlem’s Fashion Row continues to instill confidence in our youth and is truly moving to make working in fashion achievable. 

HFR is vying for inclusivity, championing change through collaboration, and challenging the industry to pour into young, passionate black and brown courtiers.

Panelists recounted their professional journeys and gave a mini masterclass on excelling in this space with the moderator, Brandice Daniel, CEO and Founder of Harlem’s Fashion Row.

Panelists included Corey Smith, Vice President, Diversity & Inclusion, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton Inc., Jasmine Humphrey, Global Public Relations Director, Special Projects & Culture Engagement, Tiffany & Co., and Nelson Gillum, Director, Consumer Engagement.
