Essence magazine writes that Harlemite Alicia Keys is doing her part to get out the vote, having recently traveled down to Dallas with actresses America Ferrera and Liza Koshy to encourage young people to vote in the upcoming midterm elections.
The trio’s girls trip to Dallas had them visiting high schools, community colleges, and campaign field officers to promote the Democrats working to win elections this cycle.

“There’s nothing like chillin with your sisters, sometimes I forget how much it fills me up!!” Keys tweeted about the experience. “Especially over things that matter most, but even when doing NOTHING there’s no feeling like your uplifting, enriching sis.”
Now the ladies are pushing women nationwide to organize their own girls’ trips to targeted districts in order to do what they can to ensure every possible voter casts their ballot.
