theater in harlemA fire erupted early Thursday in an old movie theater on W. 125th St. in Harlem, steps away from the famed Apollo Theater, officials said.

The blaze ignited in the long-shuttered Victory Theater at 233 W. 125th St. just before 7:30 a.m.

Fire officials said the call initially came in as a blaze on the first floor. The fire spread to the third floor before being brought under control just after 8 a.m.

No one was injured in the fire, officials said.

The old structure is being demolished to make way for a 26-story, $164 million building that will house stores and apartments.
