Grammy Award Nominees & Other Artists To Perform At Martha’s Vineyard Jazz & Blues Summerfest

Once again, jazz and blues lovers can end the summer on a high note with the cool sounds of hot jazz and earthy tones of blues, while enjoying Martha’s Vineyard refreshing trade winds, beautiful beaches and vibrant island life at The Martha’s Vineyard Jazz & Blues Summerfest (MVJB SUMMERFEST). For the fifth year Pilgrim Entergy will be a major supporter, specifically, a Partner Sponsor, of the Labor Day weekend concerts showcasing women in jazz, R&B, Blues, Latin and gospel on the beautiful island of Martha’s Vineyard.

This year, the MVJB Summerfest lineup includes the incomparable 2018 Grammy nominated vocalist, Jazzmeia Horn, the acclaimed All – Female Jazz Ensemble SAGE, and R&B and Jazz Songstress Alyson Williams, and the celebrated Grammy nominated artist Maysa. As in the past eight years, MVJB Summerfest takes place Labor Day weekend from Thursday, August 30th through Sunday September 2nd in two locations on the island. Concerts and activities on August 30th and 31st take place at Old Whaling Church in Edgartown and move to Oak Bluffs on Sept 1st & 2nd with performances at Union Chapel and additional vendor activities at The Cottagers Inn.

Festival producer Sheila Baptista says ” We’re pleased that Summerfest will celebrate its 9th year and it promises to be the biggest yet! Attendees come from throughout the Northeast and across the U.S. to enjoy the music, The Vibe, The View and The Vineyard.” Tickets are $45, $65, and 100.
