Get Out To Vote Tomorrow / Salga A Votar Mañana From Uptowns Ydanis Rodriguez

November 2, 2020

New York City has surpassed 1 Million in early votes, with millions more voting tomorrow across the Nation.

This year’s election is one of the most important elections in U.S History. We must all do our part and ensure we have a plan in place to cast our votes. Tomorrow morning polls will be open from 6 AM to 9 PM. If you are on line past 9 pm, it is important that you know that you can still cast your vote. Polls cannot turn you away.

Your vote matters. This year, we are voting for more than just the President of the United States. We will be voting on behalf of all those communities who have been historically disenfranchised and left behind during the height of the Novel Coronavirus. We’ll be voting against this racist and anti-immigrant administration. We must stand with our Black, Latino, Asian, and Immigrant communities.

It is important that we use our privilege as voters to vote for those who cannot cast their ballot on November 3rd. Immigrants contribute billions to the economy, yet they do not receive the same support given to many other New Yorkers. I will continue to advocate and fight to enfranchise our immigrant communities and ensure we work to pass my bill, the Municipal Voting Rights bill. This bill would allow Green Card holders and those with Work Permits to vote in our municipal elections. We must live up to the words uttered by the founding fathers of this nation, “No taxation, without representation”.

Many companies like Citi BikeLyft, and Uber are providing discounted rides up to 50% off on rides to the polls. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our office and call (917) 521-2616.
