Excessive Heat Watch From Harlem To Hollis

heat and hot harlem1The National Weather Service has extended the previously issued Heat Advisory for New York City until 8:00 AM on Saturday, 8/13. An Excessive Heat Watch will then be in effect from 8:00 AM, 8/13, until 10:00 PM on Sunday, 8/14.

High heat indices are expected and are dangerous to health. Avoid strenuous activity. People without air conditioning, older adults, and people with chronic health conditions are most at risk. Cooling centers will remain open Friday through Sunday (8/12-8/14) operating with extended hours.
