A former Columbia University professor who recently left several suicide notes at his Harlem apartment was found dead inside a rental car in Harlem Thursday night, cops said.

Bruce Chadwick, 48, was discovered unconscious and unresponsive inside a red Zipcar near West 123rd Street and Riverside Drive shortly after 11 p.m., police said.

His cause of death was not immediately known but a source told the Daily News the case was being investigated as a suicide.

Chadwick’s girlfriend reported him missing after finding multiple typed suicide notes at his W. 135th St. apartment. She had last seen him on Wednesday around 9:30 p.m.

Chadwick, who ran his own consulting firm, used to teach finance and economics at Columbia University and Montclair State University, according to his LinkedIn page.
