If you want to feel more beautiful, then you need to increase your levels of self-confidence.

The mind is extremely important when it comes to how you feel about yourself, and that goes for your appearance too.

It doesn’t matter who you are, if you can boost your levels of self-confidence, you will feel more attractive and beautiful. And if you begin acting like you have more confidence, you will start to see other people noticing. This can make them see you in new ways. Changing your mindset, though, is not easy. It is a process of remodeling your mind that takes a lot of time and dedication. But if you want to look and feel better, you can start with easy steps and build up from there. It is possible for anyone, no matter how down you may feel now, you do have the power to change that around.



Be Aware of Your Thoughts

The best thing you can do to boost your confidence and make yourself feel more attractive is to be consciously aware of your thoughts. You almost need to watch the way you think as if you were observing yourself from the outside. That way, you can begin to see your thinking patterns with a view to changing them. Some people do not realize how often they put themselves down. That could be anything from thinking ‘I look ugly’, to ‘my nose looks big’, ‘i’m fat’, etc. All of these are detrimental thinking patterns that inevitably lead to depression, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, and a feeling that you are ugly. So many people suffer these sorts of though without being mindful of them and the fact that they can lead to depression. If you can become aware and stop yourself before you go on too long in this manner, you are beginning to change how you feel about yourself. Instead of focussing on the negative, focus on the positive. What are you happy with when it comes to your appearance, or what else are you happy with. Perhaps, even concentrate on something you can do really well, like draw or paint. It does not matter how you do it, but if you can swap intrusively negative thoughts for positive ones, slowly but surely, you will begin to feel better.

Get Enough Quality Sleep

Sleeping adequately is so important to your overall health. But it is not treated by many people with the respect it deserves. If you do not sleep enough, your body is not able to repair itself. When you are asleep, the body is hard at work fixing as much of the damage of the day as it can. If your sleep cycle is not optimum, you are not going to be healing. That means that over time you start to get more health problems, and you may start aging prematurely. Sleep helps prevent all this. Sleeping also helps prevent weight gain, so if your weight is an issue and affects your confidence, making you feel less beautiful than you are, sleep will be able to help you. The health benefits associated with getting enough sleep are exponential, and if you are not getting enough, you need to start going to be earlier now. 

Time Management

Maybe part of the reason you have low confidence is because you struggle with finding time for you. Firstly, you need to do is try and cut out all the unnecessary things you do that eat into your time. Saying ‘No’ to people is a great way to start. You never know the power of saying no until you start using it. This is especially true if you’re a bit of a people pleaser and constantly run yourself ragged for everyone except yourself. Saying no will give you more time and make you feel more confident as a result. You will no longer view yourself as a skivvy to all and sundry, and you would have taken your first steps to a better life with more time for yourself. Another way to buy more time is to make use of delivery services. You can get all your groceries delivered these days, so you no longer have to make many trips to the grocery store. The more time you create for yourself, the more you can enjoy the things you like, synch as spending time with family, or going to bed a bit earlier!

A little Indulgence

Once you have a little more time for yourself, you need to know how to enjoy it. There is no point making extra time if all you are going to do is put yourself down. So, you need to be your own best friend. There are many ways you can indulge yourself, which do not break the bank. One way is to have a hot bath with all the most relaxing bath salts and aromatherapy oils you have. You need to be able to switch off from the world. To help you do this, it may be worth your while listening to some relaxation and healing music which will be able to transport you away from the hubbub and into a whole new experience. Why not try some favorite purple shampoos and give your hair a little indulgence too. You may also want to indulge in that delicious cake or try that new wine. Whatever takes your fancy. Just ensure that you are free from distractions, so turn off that phone and ensure the kids are safely tucked away with their Father. You could also spend a little money on yourself and get that new handbag you always wanted, and how about a make-over. A whole new face may make you feel like a hundred dollars. You may find some new makeup tricks that can take years off you. You never know what’s out there until you try. But the most important thing to remember is this: you deserve a little indulgence. You are a woman who does her best. You do not deserve to feel sad and depressed. By spending a little money on yourself and having some time for yourself, you will be able to increase your sense of self-worth, which will boost your confidence. The better you feel inwardly, the better you will feel outwardly, and this makes you more attractive and far more beautiful.

Diet and Exercise

Yes, you knew it was coming, the old diet and exercise spill, but to boost your confidence and make you feel more beautiful, you need to consider them as your best friends. Exercise has a massive effect on the health of your brain. In fact, exercise can stimulate cells to gripe in the brain. It has a hugely significant effect on neuroplasticity. Exercise also enhances your mood by flooding the brain with endorphins which are the body’s natural happy chemicals. Exercise also has an effect on your body in a physical way, it reduces stress for one, and it makes you look better. Your skin is flushed, and this removes toxins. It also helps you tone up and increase muscle mass. Diet is a great thing to combine with exercise to help you lose weight and look great. You really are what you eat, so you need to think of fresh fruits and vegetables and a rounded diet. Food can have an effect on mood too, so avoid junk food with is a mood suppressant. By eating well and exercising, you will boost your confidence, and you will definitely feel more beautiful.
