Since 1809, St. Philip’s Church-through its clergy and congregation, its tradition and service, its goals and dreams has been an institution of major spiritual and civic importance in the Harlem community.

The march was organized by W. E. B. Du Bois, the NAACP, second vice president of the NAACP, Harlem‘s James Weldon Johnson, and Rev. Hutchens Chew Bishop, rector of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church and realtor John E. Nail in Harlem, on July 28, 1917.
Join LGBT Sunday on Father’s Day at St. Philip’s in Harlem. They will also have a special selection during Holy Communion by a LGBT artist from the community.
