Last week, Total Equity Now (TEN) all-volunteer team delivered 2,343 new and like-new reading treasures to children and their families in shelters in East, Central, and West Harlem.
The de Blasio Administration today announced that it is supporting more than 1,300 children and youth with crucial necessities and toys this holiday season through the Secret Snowflake initiative.
Water surrounds it. The East, Harlem and Hudson Rivers form its boundaries, but Harlem is transcendent. For generations, this neighborhood has been the spiritual center of African-American and Caribbean life in the United States.
