This year marks the 241st anniversary of the Battle of Fort Washington, a key event during the Revolutionary War.
Be transported back in time and celebrate your local history at our commemoration of this historic battle.
The Brigade of the American Revolution will perform and lead drills for children. Come watch a blacksmith demonstration, listen to live 18th-century music, make arts and crafts and play games from the revolutionary period. Tour the battle scene with heroine Margaret Corbin, taste revolutionary era food, and enjoy an in depth depiction of the battle and its importance with historian Frederick Cookinham.
Come in Revolutionary period dress. Prizes will be offered for the most authentic costumes!
