The game took place near the boardwalk and is similar to baseball, except players hit a rubber ball with a broom handle.

Brooklyn players say they’ve been playing the game for decades on the streets.

“It started out on kind of a Saturday morning and we’d have 10-12 guys get together,” says player Joe Hodge. “As we got older, we started playing against different streets in the neighborhood.”

Editor’s note: Its wasn’t said who won the game, but something tells us that the Harlem team beat the Brooklyn team.
