Learn To Row For Free On The Harlem River, The Birthplace Of Rowing In The USA

September 12, 2018

Come experience the unique sport of rowing where it was founded on “Sculler’s Row” on the Harlem River! Join Row New York for a free introductory rowing class on Saturday, September 22nd, 2018––no experience or swimming ability required.

You’ll spend a beautiful Saturday with us both on and off the water. We’ll teach you the basics of the sport before heading out on the Harlem River using our stable-bottom barges.

Lessons will run every hour for approximately 45 minutes. Join us afterward to learn about our community programs for youth and people with disabilities. We’ll also be discussing our plan to build a community boathouse for you and your neighborhood. Please note, this is a family-friendly event. You must be 12 and up to row on the water.

September 22, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
