kareem+laurie+heroLIVE from the NYPL wraps up its spring season with two exciting evenings of conversation. On June 14, basketball legend, writer, and now mystery novelist Kareem Abdul-Jabbar joins his literary hero, author Walter Mosley. The two will discuss Abdul-Jabbar’s debut novel Mycroft Holmes—a mystery novel and the first of a series based on Sherlock Holmes’s savvy older brother. On June 16, creative legend Laurie Anderson closes out the season with a discussion of her lengthy career creating groundbreaking works spanning the worlds of art, theater, and experimental music.

Tickets are still available for both evenings, with a 20 percent discount on general admission tickets for Friends of the Library.
