CHANGE: Conversations With The Creator At The National Black Theatre In Harlem

In celebration of Black History Month, come celebrate our newest lobby exhibition, CHANGE: Conversations With The Creator. The exhibition will feature 27 new works of art by artists of color primarily located in New York City. These new works were curated to explore the space of #Afrofuturism as a gateway to manifest, strategize and capture a diverse outlook at the future of blackness in the form of activism, self-love, wholeness, ancestry and liberation.

Featured Artists: Mehki Adams, Sonia Barnett, Sara Jean-Baptiste, John Boyce, Shane Brown, Andrea Cauthen, Javon Conaway, Thomas Duverné, Alexandra Farr, Jasmine Grant, Funquest Japan, Lance Johnson, Felicita Maynard, Taeesha Muhammad, Aleesha Nash, Patrice Payne, Steven Sivells, Adigun Soumaila, Anthony J. Thomas, Jaime Todd, and Kyle Yearwood.

This exhibit will open on February 5, 2018, in NBT’s gallery space and will be on display until April 14, 2018.
